First was the Wushu college day performance. Basically, the performance goes like, our 2 competition medalist alternate in performing part of their routines, 1 of them with cudgel and broadsword, the other with sword and Changquan. After that, 5 of us plus the one with the cudgel and broadsword did the group routine.
I wasn't the main limelight in the performance of course. But this marked my first stage performance without any major screw up.
Though the syncronisation in the group routine wasn't really up to standard as compared to usual rehearsals.
Anyway, part of the group routine was a take-2-steps-jump-high-kick-and-land-lying-on-our-sides move. When we did that, i heard ohhhhh~ from the audience.
Don't know exactly why. Probably some of us seem to land too hard on the stage and make a hearable 'poom' sound. Well, that move didn't hurt much. Just the usual stuff.
My teacher-in-charge told us the performance received quite a number of compliments.
Well i guess that's good enough, though i won't believe him 100% since i was sure our synchro wasn't good, so he could be encouraging us to feel better.
Anyway, after that, some of us went to Teo Heng to sing K. The room was kinda small and squeezy for 7 of us. Great fun though. But i realised i need to listen to GO-ON by UVERworld more. It's the only Japanese song which is on the song list and whom i listen to everyday. I thought i could sing it without much trouble, but i guess not lol.
After that, we played pool. I am a total noob but somehow, i felt i leveled up 3 times in terms of skills. And i had great fun being a joker by disturbing the other team so that they can't concentrate. User Advice: Doesn't always work though.
So, in summary, great day,
A deviation from the mundane life.
A pity tomorrow is the start of a new week; the return to reality.
The school week's lineup is as follows:
1. Chemistry test on organic compounds. There is all these hype about organic food, organic this, organic that. They sure will have a change of heart when they have to sit for A level chemistry exam testing organic chemicals.
2. Mathematics statistics test. One of the most turn-offs things ever for me. I don't like doing statistics. They are bad enough for me to use the word "fucking" to qualify how it turns me off.
3. Napfa test. I hate the 2.4km run. In order to save me a few months agony in the singapore army camp, i'll have to put myself through another form of agony, which is to clock in approximately less than 12:30 minutes. It's one of life's worst 12 minutes.
4. GP comprehension and probably also an essay assignment to do. I hate doing an essay within short time constrains. I wonder who the hell came up with this idea of assessing students language skills by time constrains. I feel it prevents the student from performing to his/her fullest potential and puts a cap in his/her abilities.
This is the perfect time for me to get infected with chickenpox.
Come on chickenpox. Come and get me. I am ready for you.
Currently hooked on classical Touhou music arranges from TAMusic. Seriously, they are awesome.
PROFILE
Ayayayaya ~
Touhou Fan.
Listens mostly to Touhou doujin music
(Because the creator of Touhou (ZUN) is damn talented, his BGM for the game series are godly, including the game series he made itself, and hence many dedicated groups of musicians do arranges of his original BGM)
("Arranges" are one level higher than "covers")
Very Japanese-oriented, absolutely not Korean-crazy like the crowd out there
Watches Japanese anime
Wants to do, learn and try many, many things, but finds it hard to find the time, commitment, and energy to do all of that
Life is short, and i want mine to be especially so
