Recently i've been having fun wielding (a limited) power of creation with the help of image editing softwares.

I started with the very bare and basic (but straightforward) Paint.exe before progressing to the photoshop-like GIMP.

I had lots of fun really. The thought and the process of creating something new from existing materials never fail to get my heart racing and pumping.

I guess for someone like me who has negligible artistic talent and exposure, the concept of creation attracts me a lot. (Something like opposites attract.)

It's okay if the editions i created aren't epic like paintings of some child art-prodigy who is somehow good at mashing together the right combination of paint colours and splash shape that somehow hits the right spot in art appraisers' eyes.
(as the artist/creator himself sometimes also affects whether people see their work as good or not)

There are quite some flaws in them sadly.

And much of the original content are sourced from somewhere, so it really is a limited "power" of creation.







I uploaded some of my editions on facebook, and i am glad to receive constructive comments.

And of course there's some joker who commented "you are a joke." in one of them.

Hehehe it makes me wonder if he has some motives, subconscious/subtle or not, in posting that.










For now i'd downloaded 2 more image editing programs, namely Google Sketchup and K-3D.
I haven't really understand a bit about them, but they seem different since they have 3D features and animation too.

But these 2 programs are really complicated, for me at least.


Well i guess the large amount of effort and luck in learning them and figuring them out is kinda like a price to pay to wield more creation power.




I have new inspirations right now, but i figured that the lack of depth when i use GIMP and Paint.exe seems to be a handicap to make the editions turn out nice.




So i guess i am stuck till hopefully i figure the 2 new programs out.

Wants to do, learn and try many, many things, but finds it hard to find the time, commitment, and energy to do all of that
