Here's today's dose of emo-ness.

Don't be so friggin' narrow-minded and deny something plainly and assume it's not true and wrong just because you never know or heard of it before with your screwed up sense of individualism and non-conformity.

...

...

Ok i apologise. Somehow i've begun to get pissed off at every little thing easily and small things can simply annoy me.

Still, i am pretty sure it isn't due to the big fat 'A's coming next month. It's just a product of my bottled-up feelings not let out because i am not emotionally mature to deal with it.

Studies show that adolescence can be a painful experience eh?

Hehehe.

Well anyway i'd heard of this nice phrase somewhere. It was in mandarin, so i'll roughly translate it to english.

"One would rather offend a gentleman than offend a petty, scheming and vengeful guy (in mandarin it's called "小人"). But one would rather offend a 小人 than offend a woman."

A certain category of feminists reading that above phrase may feel annoyed and angry, but it's okay.

I won't have much to justify that phrase since i currently only have one example in mind that i would like to share here.

It's pretty much risky hehehe but i'll take this chance to gamble to post here and see if i'll get into trouble.

Back in my secondary school days when i was still a complete retard/fool/bastard/(insert any other derogatory noun here), or even worse than that, but okay that isn't relevant to this now.

There is this rude pervert-cum-maniac in class (not me though hehe) whom i guess everyone had lost hope on him on becoming at least a decent person already.
He liked to disturb and trouble the class during lessons, and his presence sometimes might even irritate the past me.

Somehow, some periods of time passed and i had got the feeling that the class feels it might better if he's out of the class.

Then one day that guy apparently made a rather minor (in my opinion) perverted remark to one girl in class. Pardon my language and tone but, this girl is (in my opinion, again) one of the last girls that any pervert or at least a decent guy would ever want to touch, if you get what i mean.

And this girl went to report to the form teacher saying something like she is afraid of her "safety" around that guy because he made some rude remark on her at that time.

In this end, this guy was expelled out of class. (Forgot where he went since then, probably retained.)

World peace?

Yeah. But i went to think deeper about this incident. And i feel a little disturbed about it.

The big issue here is that i am very sure that rude pervert-cum-maniac guy was just joking around like those dirty jokes that guys laugh with each other, just that he went a little overboard by telling it to a girl.
It isn't possible that he seriously thought of raping her or something given that remark i made about her just now.

If i recall correctly little or no one defended him for a bit even though his fate might be inevitable because of his usual bad conduct.

Sometimes i myself feel guilty that i actually rejoiced over his expulsion, even though he seriously gets on my nerves. Hmm ironic?

That girl sure knows how to take that opportunity to get rid of his presence.

Scary.

I don't know if this is a good example or not, though when i read it again, i think it's not. I am not sure whether guys in reality are as scheming as they are in dramas, but it sure does seem that girls have a knack for psychological manipulation or the like (vilifying the victim, spreading rumors plus minus editing certain facts thru selection/saliency, etc).

But of course i always must qualify and say it's probably wrong since it's a sweeping statement, lest i get attacked for it.

Is this the definition of being radical?

Do i have a screwed up sense of individualism/non-conformity as well?

So, in the end, we have adolescence to blame huh?

Wait no. That'll be "vilifying the victim" then.

Sleep with the trauma that kept you sleepless
